ABSTRACT

‘I was difficult in lower school. If the teachers were out of order I’d tell them. I still do sometimes, but nowadays I’m not so rude if they cross me. I’ve always been really good at sport. I was in all the teams: hockey, netball and rounders. I liked getting stuck in. Swimming was what I was best at, I was bordering on national standards. Then I got fed up. I couldn’t be bothered getting up early all the time and practising every day for hours. I got in with a bad lot and became quite disruptive.
