ABSTRACT

Before commenting on how self-styled political realists assess movements of peoples or of money across international borders, I must first consider the status of political realism as a moral theory at all. The organizing premise of this volume as a whole is to see how such issues look from various different moral stances: liberal egalitarian, libertarian, Marxist, natural law or what have you. In the case of political realism, it is not clear that it constitutes a moral stance at all.
