ABSTRACT

G3 requires that unvented hot water systems are safe; J1 sets standards for an adequate supply of air for combustion purposes; J2 states that heat producing appliances must have adequate provision for the discharge of the products of combustion to the outside air; J3 requires that heat producing appliances and flue pipes be so installed as to reduce to a reasonable level the risk of the building catching fire in consequence of their use; and L1 includes as one of the reasonable provisions for the conservation of fuel and power, the controlling of the operation of space heating and hot water systems and limiting the heat loss from hot water cylinders, hot water pipes, heating pipes and hot air ducts.
