Estate agents ' and solicitors' services are generally used in both the initial purchase and subsequent sale of the land. Also, some form of market research should be undertaken to ensure that the right rype of develop· ment takes place - housing, shops or industrial accommodation - to guarantee that the units can be disposed of profitably.
