M a c b e t h was first printed in 1623 in the First Folio collection o f Shakespeare’s plays. It occupies twenty-one pages in the Tragedies section (pp. 1 3 1 -51 inclusive) between Julius Ccesar and Hamlet. The Act and Scene divisions are indicated, but no Dramatis Personce is provided.
