ABSTRACT
By focusing on the character of US-Soviet/Russian relations since 1945, this chapter illustrates some of the major points made in the previous three chapters. It considers the key determinants of the two states’ policies towards one another, the means that each has used to influence the other and the changing patterns of interaction between them.
