ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on the central mechanisms which exist in the international system to deal with questions of power, order and justice. It identifies three such mechanisms: international law, international institutions and international regimes. It goes on to explore these in the light of three perspectives on world order: ‘conservative’, ‘reformist’ and ‘radical’.
