ABSTRACT
In this chapter we extend our discussion of methods for financing health care and we concentrate on the finance and delivery of health care in the UK National Health Service. The organisational structure and the flow of funds through the system are both discussed in considerable detail, and we examine how health care resources are allocated via the NHS internal market.
