ABSTRACT
In earlier chapters it has been noted that when planning the research design for a study a number of different approaches are classed under the quantitative research umbrella. These range from descriptive through to experimental research design as indicated in Figure 8.1. It is on this range of approaches that this chapter will focus and we will consider the following:
Descriptive research designs in quantitative research.
Correlational research designs.
Experimental research design.
Quasi-experimental research designs.
