ABSTRACT

Many situations in health care need problem-solving skills. Some are financial and relate

to waiting lists; others are management, security, food and nutrition, patient transport,

scheduling of appointments and operations, and the delivery of test results from the various

diagnostic units to the professionals. Consequently, there is no one way of making decisions

that would be applicable to all problems. However, if we recap or revisit what ethics in health

care is about, it is possible to identify how we can approach decision-making so that it is ethical.
