Our text is 1864. On the publication of some of the DP poems in the Atlantic, see headnote to James Lee (p. 67) and Appendix B (p. 571). The MS, part of the printer’s copy for DP, is at Morgan. It is a very clean copy, with no verbal variants; there was only one change in printed editions after 1864, though a substantive one (l. 25).
