ABSTRACT

Just like any single photograph, the images in a time-lapse sequence need to go through post-production before they are ready to be unleashed upon the world. This includes managing the image files, including naming protocols and sizing for digital playback, processing to fine-tune image quality, compiling the images into a time-lapse movie and exporting that movie for public consumption. All of these can be categorized under the heading “Workflow” and, while there is no perfect or correct workflow (these are both subjective terms), there are practices you can adopt and later revise that will help you along the way.
