ABSTRACT

Competition authorities around the world have made it clear that the task of uncovering cartels (and other price-fixing arrangements) is their highest priority. The escalation in the level of fines imposed on companies who have been found to have acted in breach of competition law demonstrates that this is not an issue that companies can afford to ignore. It is therefore essential that companies ensure that their business is compliant with competition law, and that their employees know what they can and cannot do.
