ABSTRACT
These are those organizations which select and engage contractors to undertake specific work for them. They are obliged to protect their own employees, as well as the employees of the contractors they are engaging, from risks to health and wellbeing. The client also has a responsibility towards the contractor and the contractor’s own staff for hazards that may occur as a result of the client’s own activities. The client is responsible for the workplace the contractor is working in.
