Compromise is a bad director

Following an intelligent clue and browsing the archive of old emails I realized something that had barely occurred to me before: namely, that the topic of the symposium has changed on the quiet. ¹ While we initially talked about ‘new forms’, we are now asked to refer to ‘New Realities of Theatre’. Now, these terms can be confused and we can quickly use one for the other, but de facto a difference remains whether we speak about what has already become a new reality of the theatre – even if only partially in experimental niches – or whether we talk about the future of theatre, about new forms, which still surprise us.
