ABSTRACT
Singapore is an island state at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. It is itself made up of 63 islands and is separated from Malaysia to the north by the Straights of Johor and from Indonesia to the south by the Straights of Singapore. It is a highly urbanised country.
