ABSTRACT
The Russian Federation has a population of 143 million and is the world's largest country, spanning 11 time zones. It has been one of the world's fastest growing economies and is now the eighth largest in the world. Over the coming years it has a predicted GDP growth rate of 3.4 per cent which reflects the fact it has an abundance of fossil fuels and precious metals.
