ABSTRACT
Coupling the school portfolio process with a measurement device such as the Education for the Future Initiative Continuous Improvement Continuums has proven to be an effective ongoing monitoring system that promotes systemic change. This nonthreatening and positive approach enables schools to move beyond merely adopting innovations and new strategies to actually implementing them. When properly used, the portfolio approach helps to create and maintain a shared vision and leads to the successful creation of a comprehensive learning organization.
