ABSTRACT

Schools that seek to prepare students to live and work in the communication age would do well to establish partnerships with businesses, the community, and parents. These partnerships can make instructional programs exciting and relevant to the purpose of developing all students into successful citizens and quality workers. Partner-ships help to reinforce learning at home and may provide solutions to some of the problems teachers face when trying to teach children who are not prepared to learn.

The key to effective partnerships—both partners must contribute and both partners must benefit.
