ABSTRACT
Empathy is the ability to understand how others might feel or react in a given situation. In simple terms, to empathize is to walk in another’s shoes and to witness his struggle. Leaders demonstrating empathy give of themselves by being present for someone else. e use of empathy facilitates trust building and can deepen the connections you have with others. When a teacher trusts you, generally she believes that you are concerned about her interests and needs. erefore, empathy is a way that one can build trust.
