ABSTRACT

In the Chapter 9, we discussed a variety of school improvement strategies with potential for helping schools reduce the rate of at-riskness. In the case of the “Accelerated Schools” and the “Success for All” programs, a collection of strategies has been assembled to make a whole school attack on this problem. These approaches have drawn the attention of policy makers and now several federal and state programs are requiring schools to implement whole school reform (WSR) models.
