ABSTRACT

Humans cannot act any differently from what they value, believe, or perceive. Staff and administrator questionnaire results can tell people about needs for professional learning, team building, and motivation. Parent and student questionnaire results can point to needs that must also be considered in the continuous improvement plan. On January 16, 2005, 19 district administrative team members participated in the Canyon View’s district baseline self-assessment continuum activities. Transition data from ninth graders and sixth graders need to be gathered to gain insight into what they thought of their educational experience in their feeder schools. The administrative team needs to develop a means to ensure communication among curriculum committees and the rest of the teaching population. Canyon View School District students, staffs, and parents responded to questionnaires designed to measure how they feel about their learning environment. High school responses mostly clustered around the overall average of low agreement.
