ABSTRACT

This chapter explains how effective presentation of questionnaire results allows respondents and others to see the big picture, understand what needs to improve, and what action to take. Each questionnaire would have different questions, a different number of questions, and a variety of subgroups possible. Simple line graphs that illustrate questionnaire items in relation to each other and break-out a variety of subgroups are fairly hard to come by in analysis applications. Many analysis applications allow the creation of graphs as well as the exporting of files that can be duplicated, shared, and integrated into larger reports without having to be tied to the application itself. The line graph is a very effective tool for presenting all item responses in relation to each other so that those interpreting the graph have a clear idea of the relationship of the low items to each other, and the high items to each other, and how the lows and the highs are related.
