ABSTRACT
Nearly 19,000 high schools with a twelfth-grade enrollment of at least fifteen students can be found in the United States. Currently, an estimated 16.4 million students are enrolled in US high schools. Individual states set the compulsory attendance age requirements for high school, typically between sixteen and eighteen years old.
