ABSTRACT
We assess through observation, performance, and tests. We give feedback: commentary and/or grades. As a result, we may come to know about our students’ strengths and weaknesses. Then what? Prescriptive lessons direct students to specific learning experiences that address demonstrated needs. Prescriptive lessons should not be only remedial. Students who are ready for advancement should have prescriptive lessons to move them forward as well.
