Summary
Gifted or highly advanced students can enjoy working with others or alone to solve open-ended problems and to respond to appropriate challenges. To differentiate assessment for them, teachers must understand them as a group and as individuals.
It may be challenging to construct assessments that motivate them and encourage them. The most successful assessments for these kinds of students is to ask students to think, evaluate, and create at high levels.
