ABSTRACT

In today’s world, the perception is that everyone is looking for the quick fix, a shortcut to success. In a school with low math scores, switching textbooks could be a quick fix approach. However, a year later, if math scores have not improved, the school administration will begin to look for another quick fix solution. In many cases, the solution to this problem has less to do with the curriculum and more to do with the teacher’s ability to genuinely connect with students.
