ABSTRACT

We had come a long way as a staff and as a school from the time the first Friday Focus was written in August 2004 to May 13,2005, when the following edition was distributed. In addition to making great strides in many areas related to teaching and learning in the current school year, we had set the stage for making even further progress in the coming year. Teachers on our staff and other administrators within our system had enjoyed the weekly communications written by me and other leaders at our school. Many of us were already looking forward to carrying this new tradition into its second year of existence beginning in the fall. For now, however, most of our teachers were simply looking forward to their summer vacation; another school year had slipped away from us, but not without many victories, both great and small.
