ABSTRACT
In some ways, this chapter may seem like a contradiction. I firmly believe that effective principals can, and should, instill their values and beliefs in the heart of their schools. (As a matter of fact, over time even a less effective principal’s beliefs can permeate the school.) However, one hallmark of effective leaders is what they do when some people don’t share their beliefs.
