ABSTRACT
Excellent teachers of mathematics teachers use plain English to teach note-taking skills relevant to mathematical comprehension. They understand that note taking reinforces mathematical learning, but it is more than just copying from the board. A student's notes are a window to her thinking, forming those mental footprints on paper that break math down.
