ABSTRACT

It is interesting to note that Principals For Our Changing Schools places the Instruction domain before the Curriculum Design domain. This is not a criticism. In fact, I agree this is the proper psychological order to follow. Too often the curriculum drives the teaching rather than the reverse. On the other hand, the logical order would go in reverse. When we study schooling logically we must be concerned first with the what, then the why, and, finally, the how of the enterprise. What is to be learned? Why is it to be learned? How is it to be learned?
