There can be no dubiety in naming the central character in the history of the British cinematograph industry during the next two years. He was Arthur Rank himself. He now owned a very large circuit of cinemas in this country and had extensive interests throughout the Commonwealth. (Eventually he was to have 200 Odeons in Canada.)
