ABSTRACT

The most powerful tool for staying sane as a teacher of tweens is to be flexible. I know it can be difficult, especially when you’re only give fortyfive minutes to get through your lesson, and they’re nuts from the fire alarm that just went off during last period, and the test is just around the corner. It sounds simple to do, but if there’s one thing you can count on in education and in middle school, it’s that you can’t count on anything. Remain mentally supple and you’ll accomplish a lot more in a much happier state.
