ABSTRACT
Information and Analysis is a critical element in planning for change and in supporting continuous schoolwide improvement. Schools must analyze existing data and collect additional information to understand how to meet the needs of their students, to understand the contributing causes of problems or undesirable results, to assess growth, and to predict the types of educational programs that will be needed in the future. The intent of this section is to establish systematic and rigorous reliance on data for decision making in all parts of the organization. This section answers the question, Where arewe now?
