ABSTRACT

The 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC, also known as the Chinese Communist Party or CCP) was held from November 8–14, 2012. On November 15, 2012, the seven members of its Politburo Standing Committee were named, thus marking the first change of government in 10 years. At the National People's Congress in March 2013, CCP General Secretary Xi Jinping was named President, and State Council First Vice Prime Minister Li Keqiang, Premier.
