ABSTRACT
Sampling is the term used when picking participants to take part in a study derived from the population of interest. Population refers to the larger group from which individuals are selected to participate in a study. The description below of the sample used in Read’s research tells us a great deal about the participants in her study. It also allows us to evaluate the findings about the two populations of teachers and pupils in these regions.
