ABSTRACT
We command you, that you must bring to our Court the body of A.B. whom you have detained in prison under your custody, as it is claimed to us, together with the day and cause of your taking and detaining him, by whatever name the said A.B. may be known therein … you are to undertake and receive that interrogation which our Court shall then and there consider and follow any order the Court may make in that regard. Hereof in no way fail, at your peril. For you have here this writ.
