ABSTRACT

In the three preceding chapters, important weeds (Chapter 13), pests (Chapter 14) and diseases (Chapter 15) were described with an emphasis on symptoms and damage, life cycles and details of plant health management appropriate to each organism. In this chapter, control measures mentioned in these previous chapters are reviewed and, where relevant, dealt with in more detail. The content of this chapter is directed to professional horticulturalists, looking to use safe, integrated methods of control while maintaining a healthy respect for environmental issues.
