Specific types of content require the use of specific types of creation software. For instance, still images are generally the easiest to create, and a good place to start is to simply snap a high-resolution picture of something eye-catching with a digital camera; perhaps it can be used as a background or texture. There are many still image/photo editing software packages available, but the primary things you will need to look for are: being able to easily adjust resolutions, image size, and saving in a variety of formats since not all media servers have the same image requirements. Adobe® Photoshop® is one of the most popular image editing applications available, and it shares common formats with Adobe After Effects so that images can be easily imported into an After Effects composition. Two of the most popular applications for video editing and compositing are Adobe After Effects or Apple Final Cut Pro®.
