ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses some of the software and hardware options in DMX controlled media servers that allow a single image to be blended across multiple display devices. The first step to any type of project using projection is choosing the type and number of projectors needed to cover the projection area. The Collage Generator® allows lighting programmer the ability to configure any number of projectors and/or DL.3 units into a single display area using DMX channels. VideoMapper allows mapping a single output from the Hippotizer to multiple projection devices in much the same way that an LED processor works with LED tiles. Similar to VideoMapper, UberPan™ is a component that allows multiple Hippotizers to work together on a HippoNet network to create a single display area of practically any resolution. Pandoras Box allows for multiple projectors to be added to a Sequence timeline, and then using X offsets for each camera, a blend of multiple devices can be created.
