ABSTRACT
THIS CHAPTER APPLIES THE BASIC POLICY PRACTICE QUESTIONS THAT ARE RAISED IN PROBLEM ANALYSIS to the issue of disparities in health for women, children, and older adults in the U.S. As in the previous chapter, the following outline puts the issues discussed in this chapter on disparities in this context:
What is the social problem? Disparities in health based on gender and age
Who is affected? What is the extent of the problem?
