ABSTRACT

Success in physician recruiting varies as a function of how well the task is planned for and organized, and the amount of time and effort a group can commit to it. Since physicians constitute the single most important resource of the group, their addition or replacement has far reaching consequences. A group needs only to look as far as its most recent success, or failure, to know how essential it becomes to recruit the “right physician.” Before a group can even begin the process of recruiting, a consensus must be reached among the members that such a need exists.
