ABSTRACT

One important aspect of marketing any type of group practice or human services organization is the development of a marketing plan. Unfortunately, most marketing activities ‘jump the gun’ and concentrate on strategies and tactics before a solid foundation is formed. From my experiences I have identified most failures in marketing related to not developing a plan of action over a long time frame. Typically the group practice administrator provider wants results tomorrow and does not desire to spend the time or money to lay out a thorough plan. I will be identifying key steps that need to be taken in marketing a group practice. These steps have been researched and practiced through the hundreds of marketing plans I have been involved with as an educator and marketing consultant.
