ABSTRACT
In October 1997, the CONSER Program will join the Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC). Hirons and Schottlaender discuss the developments that led up to the consolidation, the new vision for the combined program as expressed in a set of principles, and the benefits to each program. They also examine the potential for change in CONSER and PCC inherent in the acceptance of the principles.
