ABSTRACT

148Librarians are often faced with the task of enforcing unpopular rules. This can seem like a losing battle with the librarian gaining nothing for his or her trouble except a reputation for being a "Nazi." This article examines rules that currently exist in many law libraries, methods of enforcement, and new rules that are being implemented. Also discussed is what librarians can do about rules from a public relations standpoint. [Article copies available for a fee from The Haworth Document Delivery Service: 1-800-342-9678.
