ABSTRACT
The chapters in this book focus on economic developments and institutions in East Asian countries. Appropriately, they originally were presented in Bangkok, the capital city of one of the second wave of newly industrializing nations of the region, at the international conference of the International Trade and Finance Association hosted by Ramkhamhaeng University from May 29 to June 1, 2002.
