ABSTRACT
This chapter describes the development of age-friendly programs in the city of Tuymazy, Republic of Bashkortostan, Russian Federation. Currently there are 21 cities in the Republic of Bashkortostan participating in the WHO Age-Friendly Cities project. The program started in 2011 and has a more or less unified structure in all the participating cities, with a supervisory board at the Republic’s level.
