ABSTRACT
This chapter presents sources of information on how solar energy can be converted into cooling energy. It provides global overview on design courses for solar cooling systems are being offered through various organizations worldwide. The chapter lists organizations related to solar cooling and gives an overview of existing country codes, policy, regulations and incentives, which are directly linked to solar cooling. It offers solar radiation databases for the design of solar cooling systems through various companies and organizations worldwide. The chapter also offers an overview on suppliers of thermal sorption chillers, concentrating collectors and desiccant-evaporative systems (DECs), and displays suppliers for other collector types and components.
