“James Willis McGinnis was a piano player. He came to try out for the job at the Black Cat and stayed for fifteen years. He was a very accomplished musician. He had been in a band that played a concert for Roosevelt at the White House. That is, Eleanor Roosevelt, not what's his name… Edith … you know… not Frank Roosevelt… or Theodore. He was a graduate of the Juilliard School of Music.”
