ABSTRACT
• Why are the different publics dissatisfied with corporate financial reports? What can corporations and their independent certified public accountants do about it? This article summarizes the findings of a survey recently conducted for the Controllership Foundation by Elmo Roper, research consultant, to determine the answers to these questions.
